[Plugin: Facebook AWD All in one] Publishing posts to Facebook when not a site admin
-
I have a number of users set up as ‘Authors’ so they can contribute to the site, without being able to change the core settings, or be overwhelmed by the extent of menu options an ‘Administrator’ gets.
However, when they add a new post to the blog, there is a message in the ‘Facebook AWD Manager’ box that reads:
Message: You must authorize publish_stream permission in the settings of the plugin
Problem is, they are not an ‘admin’, so they do not see the “Facebook AWD’ settings tab, and therefore cannot ‘authorise publish_stream permissions in the settings of the plugin.
I guess there are 2 questions, the second only being relevant if the first is not possible…
1. Is it possible that ‘Auto publish post on Facebook pages’ can be a global setting – i.e. if I have it set up to auto publish to our Facebook fan page, as an administrator, this setting is automatically enabled for all users?
2. Can a list of different features in the settings pane, and a list of user roles capable of accessing these features be created – nextGEN gallery does this, so for example, I can set it that only an administrator can change options, but an author can add and manage galleries. SO, it could be configurable that an administrator can access all functions of AWD, but can also configure what sections of the settings pane a different level user can access?
