    Hi

    When trying to view the mobile site on my Samsung Galaxy Siii, it displays OK initially but the search function or menu does not respond when you touch these on screen.

    Will the plugin be updated for the new Android OS or is this another issue? It works fine on my Motorola Android and on the iphone.

    Thanks

    Nickie

  • Hi,

    I’m having a similar problem using WPTouch 1.9.41 on WP 3.4.0.

    Everything was working fine on Android ICS but after upgrading to 4.1.1 the mobile theme looks like it’s missing CSS (for the whole site, not just the search function). And there’s no more slider to disable the mobile theme.

    Hopefully this can be resolved since WPTouch worked great!

    WP (self hosted): 3.4.1
    WPTouch: 1.9.41
    Device: Galaxy Nexus on JB 4.1.1

    All I get with WPTouch enabled is flat text, though organized, it doesn’t seem to apply the theme.

    More info.

    *UPDATE* WPTouch seems to be working fine from i-Devices and pre 4.1.1 OSes as well. Had a couple buddies confirm.

    My site is not showing the navigation header or the footer with both the latest versions of WP and WPtouch. Running fine on other android phones, but my G. Nexus with Jelly Bean only shows the index page with no navigation options.
    Please help!

    I’m also having issues displaying the dashboard on my HTC ONE X. I can view comments and stats, etc. but get a 403 error when I try and load the dashboard.

    i got also a problem on my galaxy nexus since the jelly bean upgrade … everything works fine with chrome but with dolphin and the standard browser wp-touch seems to be inactive – similar screen as d33k ??

    Hi,

    You all can try adding support for additional devices by including their user agents in the WPtouch options panel. To get the user agent string of your device(s), go to whatsmyuseragent.com. Then select a unique fragment from the string and add it in the “Custom user agents” area.

    I visited the site as suggested and here is a screencap from my GNEX (galaxy nexus);

    I added the following to my custom user agents section; Build/JRO03C

    The plugin still isn’t working;

    It does not seem related to user agent.

    If i use User Agent Switcher to use the JB user agent my site works fine, here is the full user agent for those interested:

    Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.1.1; en-gb; Nexus S Build/JRO03E) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/534.30

    Seems changes in the JB browser are not compatible with WPTouch.

    I have same problem on Android as shot d33k (https://i.imgur.com/vGnaH.png) I tested it on Galaxy nexus (in browser, Dolphin) with JB and LG Optimus One (in browser) with Froyo. Im using WPTouch 1.9.42 on WP 3.4.1. on two sites. The result is always the same.

    just a bit of further info, the following website is working ok with JB browser – as a note they are using WPTouch Pro – https://www.androidpolice.com/

    perhaps the issue is only with the free version ?

    Hi everyone, we’ll look into the issues with Android and the free version of WPtouch, thank you.

    Hello Guys … any news on this subject ? I’m also experiencing the same problem when acessing WPTouch free enabled sites with Android 4.1 default web browser.

    We are looking into it for a future release. You may stay tuned to our social media channels for announcements:

    One note for everyone adding custom user agents, you only need to add a unique fragment from your user agent string (rather than the entire string). WPtouch will recognize the unique fragment and act accordingly.

    @bravenewcode Inc. Please see one of my previous posts, I did this and the issue wasn’t resolved. Not a major catastrophe, but standing by for a fix. ??
