• I have realized that when I prepare documents in paragraphs to post
on posting, the paragraphs do not appear but as single lines. Does any one exprerience such issues?

I have played around with the “Format” and “Paragraph” settings but resorted to entering paragraphs manually which looks like pressing the “Enter” key twice in order for the documents to appear in paragraphs.

I fear this may be a fault in the new versions of WordPress. Kindly help.

You may see my news blog here below as well and notice that recent posts are in paragraphs while earlier ones not. https://str8talkchronicle.com

  • Are you using the “Visual” tab of the editor or the “HTML” tab? I only ask this because a lot of people don’t realise that there’s a difference, and I know from my own experience that in “Visual” mode, a single enter will take you to a new paragraph, but in “HTML” mode a single enter takes you ot the next line, and two enters creates a new paragraph.

Thanks. I am using the Visual tab and been doing this for the last 12yrs on the news site. The problem is not with paragraphing by a single enter. The complete document will look paragraphed with a single enter but once posted, the paragraph disappears. So, instead of a single enter, I have to do a double enter to get a normal paragraph. Thats my pain now.

I’ve had a look at your site and let me ask… when did you install the Thickbox plugin?

The CSS style sheet for that plugin is removing the margin and padding form all <p> tags. That’s why everything looks like it’ sup against each other – becaue your sites CSS is telling it to be that way.

To fix this, you will need to set up your own CSS rules in your stylesheet to over-ride these new ones.
