Can't login (mapped domain)

    Hello,

    Today I bought my own domain with web hosting. So far so good.

    I already had a wordpress.com-site and because I didn’t want to lose al my entries, I decided to go domain mapping. Now, when I want to login through ‘mydomain.com/wp-admin.php’ I get my wp.com-website to login and I can’t do anything more than I was used to.

    Now, in DirectAdmin, WordPress installed and the theme I want to use is already used. But now I can’t pick it because I can’t login to the wp.org-part of the site.

    Do I need to remove my domain mapping? And what’s the solve for my login in problem?

  • What is the url of the new site. Have you tried mysite.com/wp-admin

    And yes, I have already tried that one too, but unfortunately no success.

    I continuously get this error:

    Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.

    Point is, when I want to log in, they direct me to my wp.com-site. And at the settings of my ‘domains and stuff’ I can’t change a bit.

    If you use cp or ftp to your new hosting account, Can you confirm that wp is in the root or any other folder

    Oh, my website and log in is already working. Had to change my name servers. Thank you for the help at least :D.

    Sorry just realized your present site is with wp.com.

    I would set up a seperate wp on your new host first. To ensure all is ok.

    You may also have to refer to the wp.com forum about issues with your site on that platform As the forum here deals with self host and there may be workarounds in wp.com we would not be privy to
