• Strange. For the past 2 days, this has been happening: each time I log in at wp-admin page, the login page wiggles and says my password is incorrect. But I know that’s the right password. It just won’t accept it even when i repeated several times. However, when I clicked “Forgot Password”, the screen asks for username or email address to email me a link to reset password. After this click, I didn’t bother to open my email to reset password. I simply retype my username and password to log in. This time I log in successfully (without changing my password). This has become a pattern. These past two days, I had to click “forgot password” in order to be able to log in successfully. I remember that problem started after installing the plugin captcha. But I am not sure if it is the cause, or just coincidence. Can someone help?

  • You possibly have “hit the nail on the head” Can you clear cache, Temporarily disable plugins Then try login, If it works enable each one at a time.
    Good Luck

Thanks! I temporarily disabled captcha, logged out, cleared cache, restarted browser, and successfully logged in the first try. I reactivated it, logged out, cleared cache again and restarted browser. And I logged in successfully the first try too. Now it is ok. For both browsers (Firefox and Chrome). Thanks a lot!
