Upload MP3 in wordpress 3.4.1

    hello, i recently updated WP to the latest version and when i go to my page where i previously had music uploaded, i can’t do it anymore.

    when i click on the Upload MP3 on my Portfolio page, it gives me a popup saying “Cheatin’ uh?”

    any help on how i can upload music now would be great as well as telling me whats up with this message.

  • I am having this same issue to on my site, and after a few hours I haven’t been able to find out any more info other than this is also happening with uploaded images for some people, it is a bug from the latest version, and no one has an answer on how to fix it. If there is someone that knows a way around this issue please let us know, it is driving me crazy!

    P.S. I noticed you tagged Photocrati, which is the same theme I am using. I tried uploading music on the blog through the “Theme Options > Customize Theme” section and it worked, so it is for sure not a Photocrati issue, it is WordPress.

    Hi Vivelafetephotos, thanks very much for the reply. i tried it in photocrati > customize theme page and when i click on the Uploadmp3 link, the screen black out (as if a popup is supposed to show up) but nothing actually shows up. so now it seems like my photocrati is acting up.

    im going to ask photocrati support for help but I really want to know whats up with WP’s mp3 link.

    any other suggestions and i would appreciate it.

    upload the mp3 to the media library, then paste in the URL to music section on whatever page you want – totally works : )
