Why can't i put a XML template in wordpress?

  • When i try to put a XML template on my root directory through FTP my wordpress site
    gives a 404 not found error.
    Do someone know why this happen?

  • Do you get the error when you try to FTP the file in or after you FTP it in and try to visit your site?

    after i putted the XML template on my ftp account (my site)

    WordPress generally ignores files that don’t conflict with it. What is the name of the file and what is in it? I am assuming you are putting it in your server root?

    Do you have an URL?
