Built-In RSS Widget ignores "Display Author' setting

I’m trying to display a few ‘recent posts’ widgets, but the setting ‘Display item author if available’ is being ignored. It always shows the author… “admin on [thread title]”

Anyone have this happen before?

Am i just missing something?
