How to add Image in Google search result

  • Hi everyone, Can someone give me a hand on how to add image to google search result? For Example I had my site and when i search it to google with the keyword i use it appear in first page, I want to add image to my site search result instead of Site title and description only, is there a way i can manipulate it in wordpress?

  • This is something that you have no control of.

    You can only make available the profile image of the author to appear along the search result if Google chooses to show it.

    You can use Yoast’s WordPress SEO plugin to do it.

    Contact Google for paid placement. Also, see this from Google on an image sitemap and follow good SEO guidelines on naming the image, and including a title and alt text.

    To get an image inlcuded into ‘Google Images’, the best way is to ensure that the image name is something descriptive and make sure that the tags are correct as well:

    eg,

    <img src="/images/monalisa.jpg" title="Mona Lisa" alt="Mona Lisa" height="300" width="100" />

    By doing the above, you clearly mark what the image is, and so Google finds it easier to categorise the image to serve once someone else searches for it.

    There is no guaranteed way for inclusion, but by tagging all the images like I have as above, it works almost all the time for me. Depends on competition, relevancy just like any search results I guess.
