Privacy

  • I am having a horrible time with Roles, Capabilities and basic “Private” pages.

    Even when logged in as Administrator, I cannot see private pages.

    I installed and configured User Role Editor and Capability Manager, but while they both say I have given a role access to read public pages, a test account can’t access them, either. AAMOF, a test account can’t log into the site at all. Error says they don’t have privileges.

    I usually understand and follow help files well, but I just can’t figure out what silly thing I am doing wrong with these roles.

    Sorry, forgot to mention… private pages are Forums and Contacts.

    I’m hoping someone may have some suggestion? I’m stuck on a work project/deadline, too, unless I figure this out.
