First off I have “Force rewrite titles” unchecked because I need more customization than is possible through the plugin, and I used the remove_filter code mentioned here to stop the plugin from adding the blog title to wp_title.

When I go to an individual post, it pulls the default “page name – blog name” format into the search result preview. I’d much rather it have my custom <title> code pulled into search results. So my question is: Is that just the plugin doing its best guess of a title, but Google etc. will see my generated <title> stuff? (I know Google only occasionally uses the title, and sometimes uses whatever it wants to anyway.)

And thus all of the plugin’s analysis stuff is only partially accurate, because it’s not reading my header.php file to know if I have my keyword in the title or not, correct?

(I’m just trying to wrap my head around how all of this works.)
