My customised theme (Howl) based on an original rin-tin-tin theme is almost ready to be released. I’ve some more tweaks to do tomorrow and then I think I’ll package it up for those that want it.

Before I do though – are there any more suggestions for improvements? Please let me know. thanks.

That looks nice! My only recommendation is to move the “Search” button the right of the search field, and move the whole search field and button to the right of the nav bar, just before the top/bottom button.

Agree with macmanx about the search stuff, and otherwise, I think you have a “GO” there!

    Great theme!

It took me hours just to figure out how to get the search bar where it is lads:)

I’m not sure I want to face into more CSS chaos to move it around – but I’ll see how I get on. Thanks

Right now I’m struggling to get the bullet icons lined up with the text in the sidebars (based on feedback from some kind folks)… so if anyone can tell me the shortcut I’d really appreciate it:)

Basically I’m lost in CSS – so which bit do I need to edit?

    It’s probably the li tagset….

There are a lot of LI tagsets in this CSS ??

    Any idea which one?

It wont be long .. a couple of days or so.

I need to upgrade my main site to v1.5.2 and then migrate it onto the new theme. At that point I’ll release the theme on a download section and announce it here as well.

Well, it would be in the sidebar specific css most likely. So what you’re wanting is in the Recent Comments section, to have the text indented the width of the bullet to the right?

What I’m after is to have the bullets line up with the text in any section in the sidebar. If you look at the various sections (recent comments, blogroll, recent posts etc.) you will see the bullet graphic is slightly higher than the corresponding text (or maybe the text is lower than the bullet)??

All I’m trying to do is line them up horizontally, but for some reason I can’t figure out which bit of CSS does it.

Ah, horizontally! I didn’t get that…. Okay, so just to be ABSOLUTELY CLEAR: what you are wanting to set is the nifty little red and blue square bullety thingy, right? And that being the case, and considering I’m looking at it in FF, it’s pretty close to baseline with text on the first line…. in all of them….
