Why update themes to twentyeleven theme etc

  • If I am using Aspire as my theme, why do I need to update to twenty ten and/or twenty eleven themes?

    I am confused.

    I read elsewhere of some other person using another theme and updating these two themes getting all sorts of problems.

    I have to say, I dread wordpress updates.

    I have not updated to the new 3.4 level because of what I read from some of the feedback. I would like to know if I need to update these two themes *first* or something. Can I just give them a pass?

    no need to change themes;

    if you are happy with Aspire, keep using it.

    however, as those two themes are the default themes, it might make sense to upgrade them when you update to the latest WordPress version.
