How to remove 'leave comment' and the comment…

  • Hi everyone, I am having real trouble removing the options for leaving comments. I did it, and nothing was appearing on any of the posts, then when I edit some of the posts the option reappears and I’m now so frustrated!! I also, despite having removed all options of comments appearing public without my consent, they still do!!! Please help ??

  • If you want to stop people from posting comments for a specific blog pots, simply “Quick Edit” the blog post from the posts page, and untick “Allow comments”.

    If you want to switch off comments for all the blog, go to the Settings > Discussions page and switch off comments from there.

    Thanks, I did remove all options of leaving comments in the Settings>Discussions, but that didn’t work, at least not for all the posts…. but editing the Quid Edit you mentioned seemed to have fixed the problem. But doesn’t that mean there’s something wrong with the theme if editing the Settings>Discussions doesn’t work…? Anyway, thanks!

    Settings for each blog post override the generic settings in the Discussions. So if you had specifically allowed comments on some blog posts, you have to turn them off again one by one.
