[Plugin: Paid Memberships Pro] Membership Directory w/ PMP?

  • This plugin looks like it has most of the features I want, but I’m wondering if it includes the functionality to display a directory of paid members, sorted by custom fields in their profile?

    If not, could you recommend such a plugin that combines paid membership management features with the directory features? I can’t believe this is so hard to find. It definitely seems to be desired by many wp users.

    PMPro doesn’t have front-facing profiles for members. However, many people have built something like this using our plugin as the registration/payment piece.

    They either use a custom developed page, BuddyPress, or another directory theme/plugin.

    We don’t have a recommended method to add a front-facing member directory. But we’d like to. I’d be interested as well to see what you come up with.

    I’ve been talking this over with my partner and we could put something together like this (https://www.thedesignnarrative.com/members/ – click on a member to see their profile).

    We’d do this initially as a sister plugin to install alongside PMPro, but if it became popular enough, we could add it into the core plugin.

    To develop this into a plugin would take some time, but we would do it for a client signing up for our “do it for me” plan if they let us share the code when we were done:

    I was thinking of approaching this with templates and/or custom post type.

    I may have an update on this early next week. We have a potential client who would allow us to release some of the member directory code we are putting together for them. The potential release would be sometime in September.
