Visual Editor Gone

Check your profile and make sure the information there is correct.

Have you tried:

– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

– re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

OMG, you should have just said, “Hey stupid go un-check the box disable visual editor!”

I do not know how it ever got checked but it did and I had no idea such an option even existed. Thank you so much for your help!

I have read so many forum posts with the same problem and people giving them all kinds of codes to change and so on when perhaps they should have just dumbed it down ??

I guess I need it dumbed down even more. Where can I check to see if my visual editor has been disabled? The Edit page is in HTML, but there is no option listed for either html or visual editing. I REALLY am lost without the visual editor, because I am such a novice…..PLEASE HELP!
