I’ve been looking for a plugin like this for about a year and stumbled upon it by accident while on Google. My blog has 2800+ posts that I’ve idiotically not backed up (outside of Bluehost’s backups), and have been searching for a plugin or some kind of method to back up posts into a text file or Word document without going through each one individually. Thank you for creating a plugin that can do this!

I am experiencing some problems with it, though. I managed to get through the first year of posts, but each month (with the bare minimum filters) is now giving me “This webpage is not found. No webpage was found for the web address (web address). Error 6 (net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND): The file or directory could not be found.”

Is there a solution for this, or do I have too many posts in queue for the plugin to handle?

    Hey, thanks for the feedback!

We have not stress tested the plugin for that many posts. Sounds like it’s is failing. Can we contact you for testing when we release the next version?

Sure. I’ve been going bare minimum for each month, but there are still a few that fail. Those months maybe had 50+ posts in them. I didn’t think the plugin would be able to handle all posts in one shot, so breaking them up did help for the most part.

So it’s failing at 50+? That sounds quite low. Must be something else going on.

Could be. Some of the posts were longer, but I’ve still dumbed them down as much as possible–only published posts with title, date and content.

Interesting, so you can export more when dumbed down?

Do you know how much memory your host has?

I can *only* export when it’s dumbed down haha. If all the options are checked, it crashes right away. I don’t to be honest. I’m running the site at face value, but my friend is the one with the WordPress/BlueHost account. I can ask him and get back to you though.

Yes, there may be some memory problems on the server. We will try and optimise the next version. Sorry for the hassle.

No worries. Like I said, I’m just happy to have found a plugin that can back up like this. I’ve been so overdue for one, I pretty much deserve hassles haha.

Cool. Rest assured, the next version will be better.
