• Using WP 3.3.2 and development or 1.1.9 version of WordPress SEO I am seeing that the home page is missing the meta description and the og:image attribute which are set in the proper places. You can see the seo description is used for og:description tag.

I checked my theme to make sure there wasn’t a variable conflict with $metadesc or other function names but didn’t find any conflicts.

Any tips on where to look when the meta description and og:image fail to show on the static home page even when it is set?

My home page is a static page using a custom template and custom post type fields.

The page in questions is for, Lighter Focus .

Ok just found the solution to the og:image problem for static home page based on this thread about it missing on pages without attachments. I had to download the latest development version which was about an hour or two after the last time I download it.

Also this version of the plugin also resolved the meta description missing.

So I guess ignore this post other than that you need to release a new plugin version to fix these problems for the people who don’t know to download a development branch.

    Thanks for the great plugin.
