[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] RegExp not working properly with focus keywords (?)

In version 1.1.7 RegExp support was added for use with the focus keywords. But somehow they won′t work properly. I just posted an article about the album “Jackal” of a newcomer band from Estonia named DefRage, see https://derbenni.de/musik/defrage-jackal.
The keywords I used was “defrage|jackal” (without quotes). The overview tells me I′ve used the keywords quite a few times and everything is OK, but the analysis tab tells me I haven′t used one of the two keywords. It seems like it′s looking for “defrage jackal” instead of “defrage” OR “jackal”.
Am I just missing something or does the RegExp support not include perl-compatible regular expressions?
