[Plugin: WordPress Move] Move site – from subdomain to subdomain?

  • Hello –

    Since I’m new to the migration process, I’m testing the move by moving the site from one subdomain to another:

    From: lauraschoppa.com/efcubed
    To: lauraschoppa.com/testmove

    Is this possible? I am getting an error message: “Connecting to https://lauraschoppa.com/testmove:21… Failed!” even tho the setting check out, I believe.

    The ending result is for the site to move to (and overwrite completely), efcubed.com.

    When I actually do the move to the new site, is it necessary to blow away the existing site FIRST before completing the migration?
