    can you be more specific?

sure, sorry : I checked some boxes like “Add page title” and some triggers in advanced settings. Then after I click Save, all the boxes are unchecked.

    1. you didn’t check “restore default upon saving”?

    otherwise

    2. what wordpress version are you using?
    3. what plugin version are you using?
    4. did you use any older plugin version and did that work fine?
    5. did you try and reset all settings, does the problem still occur?

can’t reproduce this on any of my sites

    Thread Starter gelivan

    (@gelivan)

    1. no
    2. 3.3.2
    3. 0.5.13
    4. nop, it’s the first version I try
    5. yes

is there any plugins that could interfere?

tried a fresh install and i still can’t reproduce this and i’m running the same versions. however, i noticed that the initial settings are not set properly, so maybe it’s a related issue. will take a look once i get home!

could you try this version and tell me what happens?

    Thread Starter gelivan

    (@gelivan)

thank you I’ll check it later and let you know!

    (@gelivan)

    it works! thanks.

now just to make sure I understand the use:
it will help to get an image from a player like mixcloud in a a blog post I share on facebook for example? like this post

Is there any other steps to make it work? Or a way to force it? cause the image doesn’t show up in my facebook post

    Plugin Author idleberg

    (@yathosho)

have a look at the source of the page and look for og:image. if that’s there, the plugin found an image from some embedded player in your post. some soundcloud players simply don’t have any artworks supplied, so don’t let that fool you. also, bandcamp and viddler both need a valid api key.

if you (or anybody else) previously submitted (or liked) the same url, facebook might still use a cached result and not show an image. the cache usually expires after some weeks. you can cheat facebook by using an url shortener or by adding some slashes at the end of your url. the best indication is looking for og:image in the source!

great, thanks for your time and precise answer. I’ll look into it!

    Thread Starter gelivan

    (@gelivan)

no luck, no seeing any og:image in the source ??

    Plugin Author idleberg

    (@yathosho)

since when is that, i thought you only had a problem saving settings?

    Thread Starter gelivan

    (@gelivan)

well, with that settings problem I couldn’t make sure it was working.

Never worked for me, I checked many pages but no og:image in the source.

any chance we can try and work this out on chat towards mid-week?

    (@gelivan)

unfortunately I can’t ensure an online meeting at the moment.

Feel free to leave here any idea I could try later if possible ?? thanks a lot
