Custom Post Type showing authors details

Hey,

Can someone help me out with setting up and custom post type that would list just the authors name bio etc and a list of post they’ve written?

Ideally I would write and new post with the title “Joe Bloggs” and select the Profile post template and publish. If a use clicked on this post the would be taking to a page showing the details of Joe Blogs. Other wise I could just set the actual author of that post to the one I wont the details of?

any ideas? Think I need a custom authors.php page but need to link it to the title of the post?
