• WordPress is crashing my browser when I’m navigating around in the backend. For example, if I go into a post and edit it, then click to go back to the list of posts, the browser will stall and eventually crash. This started when we upgraded to the 3.3.2 version. This has happened on both Firefox and Chrome browsers. I’m using a mac.

I have a variety of plugins and custom post types, but I won’t list them here unless you all think they might be the source of the problem.

I have no idea where to start to solve the problem!

Thanks for any help/advise you can provide!

    Susanna

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
