    Hi,

    https://www.readmyreads.com/

I think I have corrupted my current activated theme, I would like to change my theme.

I am kind of in a problem. I was editing a theme in the editor, and I think I added an incorrect code and now my page shows this error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /hermes/bosweb/web102/b1029/nf.investophile/public_html/readmyreads/wp-content/themes/exile/functions.php on line 55

I tried logging back to my wp page to change the theme. But it shows the same error I cannot even log into my admin page anymore as it shows the same error, can I change the theme externally somehow without losing data.

-try switching to the unedited default theme (twentyten) for a moment by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes. The idea is to force WordPress to fall back to the default theme. Then you shuld be able to login in admin.

If you don’t have access to your admin area, then access your server via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
