Hi all. I am using the Smallfolio WP theme and it supports dropdown menus in the header nav. The last detail I’m trying to pin down is getting the drop downs to work in the header nav. I’ve followed the theme help tips and the best I’ve been able to do is get the subpages to appear in the sidebar. I have a ton of nav items and need to condense them. Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

    thanks!

  • Because you are using a purchased theme, we cannot examine its code or options. You should contact the theme supplier for help.

One question though, did you set the pages as actual subpages? That is, did you set the Parent page when you created or edited the pages?

the theme creator has been MIA when it comes to support on this theme for the last year or so it seems.

When creating the subpages I set them to have a parent page… which seems to be working as it shows up in the sidebar navigation that way. But I want them to act as drop downs on the main menu, like the theme template example shows.

    6. Add pages and subpages

    – Smallfolio theme supports WordPress Menu System (WordPress 3.0 function). So you can create your own menu in Admin – Appearance – Menus.
    – Create pages and subpages. This theme supports multiple levels of subpages.

I wonder if this means I need a plugin for WordPress Menu System… looking into it now. THanks for your reply!

Possibly there is a Theme Option for showing/hiding subpages.
