backWPup hangs on FILES backup

Hi Daniel,

My second post, now on files backup.
At the same (shared)hoster (Strato.com) I have two websites with identical server/php/mysql specifications.

On the first one it runs backWPup smoothly (DB and FILES, 2 separate jobs), on the second one I am struggling.

Eliminating large tables seems to get the DB-backup going (as stated in my former post), but I can’t seem to get the FILES backed-up.

So here I post the details:

Memory limits are equal, the only thing that differs (that I can see) are the number of files/Mb: 2812 files with 34.35 MB to backup vs. 3923 files with 56.65 MB to backup.
