Thanks! I added the extra line of code and it seemed to work. Now, however, the import page starts importing posts and users, but says that it has completed blogger to WP import without showing that it has actually imported anything. In fact, I check my WP site and nothing shows up there. Any more thoughts?

Did you follow all the instructions about how to change the blogger template before importing and how to republish etc.?

Yes, I followed all of the instructions from both of the sites that I listed above and republished. I know that it has published because I can see my blogger posts in my ftp at /public_html/journal/. I just can’t seem to get it to my WP site.

The only think that I am not sure about in the instructions on changing the blogger template is the ftp path. As of now I have: placetomuse/wp-admin/import-blogger.php/ in that spot.

Is WP installed in the /journal folder?

The FTP path should be public_html in your case because your WP install seems to be at the root of your site.

WP is installed in the placetomuse.com folder. I have my archive path set up for public_html/journal/. Is that right? I did change my ftp path to public_html but to no avail. Same results…only different place. I appreciate the help.

    No wonder…
In the instructions it says quite clearly:
    Log into your Blogger account.
Go to the Settings, and make Blogger publish your files in the directory where your WordPress resides. Change the Date/Time format to be mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss AM/PM (the first choice in the dropdown menu). In Archives: set the frequency to ‘monthly’ and the archive filename to ‘wordpress.php’ (without the quotes), set the ftp archive path to make Blogger publish the archives in your WordPress directory. Click ‘save changes’.
Go to the Templates. Replace your existing template…etc.

ahhhh. Sorry. I had it set up right, so I think, but prior to fixing that line of code I was trying something that obviously didn’t work. I have made the correct changes back to what I think it should be: ftp path: placetomuse.com/wp-admin/import-blogger.php/ and archive path: /placetomuse.com/wp-admin/. Does that seem better?

However, when I attempt to publish this error comes up:

    550 placetomuse.com/wp-admin/import-blogger.php/2005/10/new-leaf.html: Not a directoryplacetomuse.com/wp-admin/import-blogger.php/2005/10/new-leaf.html

I have double checked all of my other settings and they seem in order. Thanks for your patience…

    Does that seem better?
    Nope ??
The ftp path should be where your WP installation is: as I said earlier it should be public_html. Please, do NOT confuse URI and path.

OK, this is what I have got. ftp path: public_html, archive path: placetomuse.com/wp-admin/. My blogger posts upload to my ftp just fine, but not to my WP site.

Here is what my ftp directory looks like:

    home
    logs
    Maildir
    placetomuse.com
    public_html
    WPbackup
    atom.xml

As far as I can tell, all of my WP files are in the placetomuse.com folder. All of my blogger posts are in the public_html folder…and that is all that is in that folder.

When I hit ‘OK’ on the https://www.placetomuse.com/wp-admin/import-blogger.php page the next message I get is that the import is done…yet nothing was imported to my WP site.

As you can tell, I am new at this and very confused…thanks for the continued help.
