How to make blog posts appear under different menu items?

  • On my site, I have a ‘blog’ menu item and a ‘portfolio’ menu item.

    https://richardclunan.com/blog/

    https://richardclunan.com/portfolio

    I’d like to make it so that when I post a blog post, I can determine whether it appears under ‘Blog’ or under ‘Portfolio’.

    Is it possible to do this?

    How?

    I read that it’s possible to do this using categories, but I can’t get it to work. So perhaps I’m misunderstanding the instructions.

  • You can create a custom post type portfolio and use that to post on portfolio. You will will two labels one is post that you use to post on blog and then you will portfolio and anything used that will go in portfolio page.

    You can find info how to create custom post type if you do not want to use a plugin

    I also want to make the portfolio accessible only with password. is it possible to do this using the method described at that link?

    When you create blank page for portfolio you can make it password protected
