• Hi,

I’m using the digg digg plugin on my site which uses clear theme. After installing and implementing it my sidebar widgets have moved to the bottom of my posts and my footer widgets have slightly shifted to the left. When I deactivate the plugin everything looks back to normal.

Anyone knows what the problem might be or how to fix this? Have been searching for an answer but can’t find anything of use.

    Thnx in advance!

  • I’m having problems with it too. I also noticed that it adds about 900kb to the size of the page, which makes it much slower to load and uses more bandwidth.

To know what’s wrong you’d need to dig into the theme code, so I can’t help you with that right now.

Try WP-Socializer, I think it’s even better than Digg Digg and it may not break your theme.

    Thnx Outspan!

That’s what I was afraid of… I wouldn’t know where to start looking for it in the theme and it would consume to much time figuring it out. There are more then enough different sharing plugins to find so thank you for the tip on WP-Socializer. That saves me some time. I’m going to try it at once…

If you still have the plugin active can you post a link to your site so we can take a look?

    Thanks

    Hi Andrew,

I reactivated it for you so you can take a look.

It’s an event website (in dutch). I have added the Digg Digg plugin on the posts… for instance https://www.evenementcentraal.nl/blog/social-media-training-breda/26/08/2012/
When you look underneath the post you see a block that say’s “Aankomende trainingen” which is part of the sidebar.

    Hope you can help… Thnx!

This looks more like a theme issue as the div with the .column-3-4 class is only 700 pixels wide while your content is 700 pixels wide which means there’s no room for your sidebar alongside it. Does it work correctly with Digg Digg disabled?
