[Plugin: Events Manager] remove paragraph tags from eventnotes / description

I placed #_EVENTNOTES directly after #_EVENTNAME in my post, without any code in between. Yet when it is uploaded, the description is placed within a paragraph. How/where can I remove the paragraph tags? Thanks.
