    Hello,
Thanks for this great plug-in … I just have a question which needs a work around.

I wish to archive some existing pages as old posts and don’t want the subscribers to be notified. Essentially this is just a bit of house work/ re-organisiation of a site.

Can I temporarily suspend all notifications ?
If I back-date posts, would notifications be sent ?

One potential work around might be to add a new category, e.g. ‘archive’ and disable all notifications for that category – but that is not ideal.

    Any suggestions very welcome.

    Many thanks,
    Alice

  • @ecila,

Why not simply de-activate the plugin while you amend your posts?

    Hello,
Thanks for your swift reply – but ignore this query.

In case anyone else has a similar question, this feature is built in: you can disable notification for individual posts !

wrt. your answer I wasn’t sure how things were scheduled: whether if I deactivated, when it was reactivated the back log would get sent out.

    Thanks !

    @ecila,

That’s another way of doing it – enable the email over ride for each post you edit.

That said, if you are simply updating a post then it should not result in a new email notification anyway unless:

1/ You are using per-post more, and revert the post to a draft status before re-publishing it.
2/ You are using digest mode and you edit the publication time of the post to fall within your digest interval.
