[Plugin: Pinterest RSS Widget] Error Display on Pages

    I get a similar error to other users here, but more importantly it breaks the rest of my site. .

    Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Error::get_item_quantity() in /home/content/27/7970027/html/blog/wp-content/plugins/pinterest-rss-widget/pinterest-rss-widget.php on line 64

    On one page, I have it as a standard widget. On another page, I call it with PHP. It wasn’t working for me with the standard call, so I did the do_shortcode command and it didn’t work.

    this is the code I used below.
    do_shortcode(‘[prw username=”lonelybrand” maxfeeds=”1″ divname=”myList” printtext=”0″ target=”newwindow” useenclosures=”yes” thumbwidth=”200″ thumbheight=”200″ showfollow=”no”]’);

    get_pins_feed_list(‘bkmacdaddy’, 1, ‘myList’, 1, ‘newwindow’, ‘yes’, 125, 125, ‘yes’);

    It appears to be working fine now. This error seems to be a problem with Pinterest RSS feeds, not the plugin. If Pinterest’s servers are overloaded at any given time this error will show up. I did notice they were running exceptionally slow today. Try reloading at different times throughout the day to see if it works for you. I just checked and on both of your pages the Pinterest plugin is loading and functioning normally.

    is there any way to trap the error to just do an echo so it doesn’t break my site if Pinterest is slow in your future updates to the plugin?

    I’ll definitely look to do that next version, although I can’t tell you when that will be. Supporting and updating a plugin can be extremely time-consuming, so it is lower on my priority list behind paying jobs.

    Thank you for making this great plugin! I have been using this plugin for the past few weeks but starting about 3 days ago I’ve been getting the same error message listed above.

    I’m using it as a standard widget on the site acentralparkwedding.com

    I tried updating to plugin version 2.0 and clearing the cache but it did not help. The Pinterest servers also seem to be running at a normal speed.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    I tried a couple other Pinterest plugins and none of them were showing any pins so I looked at my Pinterest account. Seems like they shortened my pinterest user name (not the display name). Once I replaced that in the widget settings the issue was resolved.
