INVALID Payment Ref eshop plugin

  • Hi,

    This is really weird!
    About 50% of my orders come through as INVALID Payment Ref.
    I don’t understand as when I look at Paypal the order seems perfectly fine. My system is live.

    what is the subject of the email, and what is said in the body before all the details?

    Paypal IPN -INVALID Payment Ref:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    An instant payment notification was received

    from XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX on 04/29/2012 at 7:59 PM

    Details:
    Paypal has reported an invalid payment.

    and this is a good one:
    subject Paypal IPN -Completed Payment Ref:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

    i’ve changed actual numbers for xxxxxxxxxxxxx obviously

    Try re-checking all of your PayPal settings in eShop and at PayPal.

    with reference to what specifically?
    Some orders come through okay and some don’t and some go in pending and some go in failed even though the payment has gone through. It all seems a bit hit and miss. Is it something the people are doing when ordering? I’m worried that i’m losing orders using this system?

    Can you replicate the problem using the Twenty Eleven theme with all other plugins deactivated?
