[Plugin: Breadcrumb NavXT] Removing "/category" in the breadcrumb URL

  • Hey there,

    I am using Categories as the taxonomy option for the breadcrumb trail. Everything works fine, but the URL for the category will include “/category” which I am trying to remove. So instead of showing

    site.com/category/cat-name

    I want it to show

    site.com/cat-name

    How and where can I make the modifications to remove the word category from the URL?

    I use the WordPress API for all generated URLs, and I am not going to deviate from that (leads to too many issues). You’ll have to hook into those functions to do it (get_term_link is the function in question here ?? )
