[Plugin: Redirection] Multisite www issue

    I’m experiencing an issue in a multisite installation. The domain name is not prefixed by www in Settings. Source URLs entered in the address bar without the www redirect to the Target URL exactly as expected. However, if the www is added to the same Source URL it redirects to the homepage instead.

    I tried to recreate the same issue on a non-multisite installation and found that www and non-www Source URLs both redirect perfectly.

    Is this a limitation of the plugin/WordPress, or is there a solution I can implement?

    I was able to resolve this issue by adding the following lines to my .htaccess file just after “RewriteEngine On, RewriteBase /”:

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%1/$1 [R=301,L]
