• Hi

I’ve got real weird issue. When i edit a page (it has a typo on) and fix the typo and click save. the page no longer works!

the only way for me to fix it is to restore my wordpress database.

the page i am trying to update is https://www.cyberhostpro.com/servers/dedicated-servers/

You’ll see in the table of features it says “serve” not “server” i add the R to the end and update, it then changes to this page:

    (screen shot):
    https://www.cyberhostpro.com/images/2012-04-23_19-22-40.jpg
then the footer loads, none of the content shows.

error is: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘?’ in /home/USER/public_html/wp-content/plugins/exec-php/includes/runtime.php(42) : eval()’d code on line 124

this is the same on all pages and not just this one!

all seems to be related to plugins/exec-php/ i’ve tried reuploading this module, restoring oldest backup and nothings changed.. and if the module was broken a wp DB restore wouldn’t fix it right…

here is a list of our installed/active plugins from FTP folder:

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Hi

    I tried this:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    i didn’t try:

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

is thier a string i can add to the URL so it uses the theme ie &theme=twentyeleven as our site is always quite busy and i cant do it live.

FYI…. this has only happened since upgrading to MySQL 5.5 from 5.1 or around that time… could be related.

    i didn’t try:

    Why?

is thier a string i can add to the URL

No. This is part of basic troubleshooting, so if you want to find out the cause of your problems, you really do need to try all of the steps listed above.
