• My website was hacked. The hacker deposited files on the site, which caused the host to remove the theme’s folder. Eventually they shut down the site alltogether while they researched the problem further.

Because of their delay, and the nature of my business, I changed hosts. I had to completely rebuild the site. I have reinstalled WordPress on the new host, and pretty much rebuilt the entire site… except for the blog.

I want to be able to rip the blog out of the old site, and put it on the new site. I don’t want to replace the current blog, and I’m unfamiliar with trying to merge databases. I would prefer to open the file or folder that contains the blog and simply copy/paste the content into a new post on the new site.

Is this possible? Can anyone tell me how to do it? Which files on the old host contain the actual blog portion of my original wordpress site?
