• Hi !

I use WPML so I readed about Relevanssi, and it seem to be a Pro-Plugin I need.
But before buying I tryed the free version and I don’t see any widget, so the first question is:
1- isnt’ there some special Widget to get extra-filter & search features !?

2- I need to filter posts of a certain category using tags, I saw in your knowledge base and guides the URL to use this (like &tag=XXX ecc.) but I did not saw a widget or something to use this URLs. Is there something I’m missing ?

There are no widgets included. Relevanssi doesn’t particularly need one, and for the more detailed searches everybody has different needs, so one widget wouldn’t help.

So, in order to get a special search, you need to create the search form yourself. That’s fairly simple, usually just some basic HTML code, and at worst you need to add little bit of PHP, that’s not very tricky. If you get a license that includes support, I can help, and if it’s something more complicated, I can be hired to do that.

For the filters, you just need to add those URLs to a desired spot on your search results template, no need for special widgets.

I’m searching for something more sophisticated, no problem to buy it, that shows all the category, and THEN clicking on the tags-checkboxes filters the category while clicking, like an ajax-reloader search form.

When I found Relevanssi I guessed this was an included feature, otherwise I don’t understand the need to pay for a search plugin.

However, with Pro version, do I get something like this ?

If not, how much could this cost ?

Relevanssi doesn’t provide that. Relevanssi can provide the underlying search engine – that’s what you’re actually paying for –?but the user interface needs to come from somewhere else.

    1) I’m not a skilled AJAX programmer, so I can’t do something like that even if I want to.

    2) Again, end users have so varying needs that there’s little reason to offer detailed user interfaces in Relevanssi.

Anyway, you probably should look elsewhere for your search needs.
