  • In theory, yes but I do wonder if a forum mightn’t be more suitable for your needs.

OK so can you please answer the following for me about wordpress.

1.Will kids be able to communicate with each other and also register with one another?

2.will they also be able to register before they use it?

3.which forum is mostly the best one to use?

4.can i use wordpress for the forum?

    1. Only using Posts or comment.
    2. Yes
    3. Sorry but that’s not a WordPress issue. Try using Google.
    4. Whilst there are some forum plugins & bridges for WordPress, it is not forum software – it’s a content management system. That’s the not the same as a forum.

The bbPress forum plugin works rather well, but this almost sounds like you’d want BuddyPress.

    See buddypress.org

    bbPress is a forum plugin.

So you get a blog AND a forum.

But its more like a social network, this website is for school kids aged 9 to 16. the site includes:
    1.Blog page
    2.Discussion forums
    3.Video page
    4.Picture page
    5.Page to post training material.

I don’t think i need platforms like Moodle to do the job, i think worpress can also do this kind of a job.

bbPress is not a social network.

    BuddyPress is a social network.

Both are WordPress plugins (which means you get a blog etc).

    You’re over thinking this.

    1) Install WordPress. Make your blog page, video page, picture page etc. Use CPTs for them, if you want, or categories or whatever’s easier for you to organize.
    2) Install bbPress as a forum plugin
    3) Drink beer ??
