• Hi !
I am interested to get you people opinions about the above mentioned project. If it is needed to design a blog “ARTICLES DIRECTORY” (the name is self explanatory)for which the expected number of articles in the website to be more than 30,000 and estimated page views per month to be more than 900,000. The website is assumed to be having almost 10 to 20 authors (paid authors). All users (expect authors) will not be allowed to edit the articles but they can comment.
Please let me know, which PLATFORM will be best for such project? WordPress OR Media Wiki? OR is there any other platform to be used? What are other points to be kept in mind while designing such project?
    Thanks !

  • I’ve used both things you mentioned… (and many other CMS packages)

I didn’t start out a WP guy… I tested everything I could find. BUt 1 by 1, each project slowly got transferred into a WP site

    So I would recommend WordPress

The best thing to do is to read up on WP. Understand the features, understand the ways in which you can organizae content, understand user roles

Plan first. Understanding how things work, and knowing exactly what you need, you can start out right from the start, and not have to worry about reorganizing things later, etc.
