I have managed to create a drop-down menu, assigning sub-pages to parent pages: https://www.msweaver.com. However, this did not work for a sub-sub menu as the sub-sub page (“grandchild”? :)) overlaps the “child” page. I would greatly appreciate if you could tell me what I am doing wrong.

  • Hmm…I thought I disallowed grandchildren from the dropdown menus. At any rate, it hasn’t been set up to allow sub-subpages in the dropdown — I didn’t add the CSS for that. But I can. Adding it to the issue tracker on GitHub. As soon as I get SVN access to update the theme in the WordPress repository, I’ll get an updated version out for you.

I see! Thank you very much for letting me know! I will be looking forward to the updated version. Will that be any time soon? ??

Once again, thank you very much for your help!

Yes, I will work on the updates tomorrow and submit a new version. Then it’s a matter of the updated version being approved.

Chris, you are a star! Thank you so much! I only clicked one “update” button and it sorted itself out completely. Loving your theme!

    Excellent ??
I will say that the menus only go 2 levels deep. Personally, I think more is overkill anyway, but I can justify doing 2 levels, especially since I designed this theme to be really open to customization and/or using it as a framework. Thanks for the feedback!

I agree – two levels is enough. Once again, thank you so much for your very kind and speedy help!

Heya, i have the theme as well installed and really love it Chris, great work!

However i’m having a similar problem, in that I can’t figure out how to make the child pages display in a drop down menu from the main navigation like msweaver has on their site.

Is there a straight-forward option in the theme settings i need to change? Or do i need to customise the style.css to make it work?

My site is being built and at a temporary location at the moment, here’s the address: https://thisiselvis.neotericuk.co.uk/blog/

Thanks for your time, any help would be greatly appreciated!

No need to customize the css for the dropdown, just use the WP custom menus functions in Appearance -> Menus

Awesome work with the site, btw! I hardly recognize the theme ??

Ah ha! You made it so incredibly simple, just drag and drop, i’d figured it would be more complicated that that so was over thinking it ??

Thanks for the nice comment on the design, have been slaving away all day in the style sheet tweaking lots of things to suit my colour and format needs ??

Thanks a lot for your time.

I would certainly love to take credit for the drag & drop interface but I have to credit that to the folks who wrote WordPress core — I just implemented the feature, but they built the functionality.
