[Plugin: MailChimp List Subscribe Form] API will not verify in the settings

Hello,
When I enter the API key and click to verify I get this error:
Uh-oh, we were unable to verify your API Key. Please check them and try again!
The server said:Could not connect (ERR 13: Permission denied)Any idea why it will not verify?
