[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Change "Show as Slideshow" text

Should be a simple enough task: I want to change the wording of “[Show as slideshow]” and “[Show picture list]” which appear above the thumbnails when I open the page. But no matter what I try it won’t change!
HELP – any ideas, please?
