Remove image captions from the_content_limit()

Hello,

In my blog, I’m using the_content_limit() as the article teaser. The problem is that the image captions are included in the teaser, and I want to exclude them. You can see the problem right in the main page, with the featured post — the teaser begins with the caption of the first image in the article.

How do I fix this?
