• Hey There,

This is probably a really nooby question but I am having trouble finding an answer.

I have a site running WordPress, and I opted to use a static page as my home page rather than a page displaying the 5 most recent posts.

However, I still want to have a separate page that displays the most recent blog posts in the exact same way, just as a dedicated blog page.

I am running my own modified version of “Twenty Ten 1.2”. And I am sure that there is a super simple solution here, but I haven’t been able to find it! Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Now that you’ve set a static page to be your front page all you need to do is create a new page which you’d like to display these posts on.

Then within the ‘reading’ tab underneath the ‘settings’ tab (the same page where you specified the front page to be a static page) you have an option to select a posts page, this should be the page you created where you wish to display the recent posts. Once you’ve set a page to be the posts page it will essentially reference the themes index.php file.

Well you do need a separate page to display the posts on, they can’t be assigned to nothing can they?
