Visual editor not working

  • I recently got a problem where the visual editor wouldn’t work.
    I tried everything to get it working again: – cleared cache, f5, use google libraries, re-install wp-admin and wp-includes folders,de-activate all plugins, changed to twenty eleven theme, deleted current theme…
    Nothing worked.

    So, I reinstalled WP 3.3.1. – Problem was still there.

    So just now, I backed up my posts and comments, then deleted ALL my SQL databases, all my WP folders and files and installed a clean copy of WP 3.2.1 (aka – a downgrade)

    And the problem is still here!!! I have 0 plugins so I definitely know it’s not them! I’m really stuck!

    The only thing I can say is that the problem has slightly improved – now I can toggle between Visual+HTML editor, whereas before I couldn’t. I can also see the text I type, before I could only see text if it was highlighted.
    BUT, my visual editor is as if it is the html editor – i see all html tags in visual (just like before)

    So, has anyone got info on how to fix this stupid problem! It just won’t go away!

  • Try adding define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false ); to the bottom of your wp-config.php file (just before the require_once line).
