• Hi there,

I just wanted to check one of my posts on an old blog I published with an colleague when I found out that he must have deleted all of my posts sometime between now an January.

Is there any way to find out when this was done and and which IP address did this? WordPress or MySQL log files or maybe server log files that I could get through my server provider?

No. Posts are saved in the trash, but only for … 30 days? Something like that.

Thanks Ipstenu. I was afraid this wasn’t possible. The trash is empty, I guess it is gone.

Still I would like to know when it happend. I have the log files for the days I think he trashed everything.

I can see a lot of “edit.php” actions and they have js codes. Is there a way to find the “trash” action through these js codes?

It is really annoying and there was some value in this too.

Hope you or somebody can help me.

    Thanks again

If you have the access logs there should be some hint of a deleted post. If you search the access logs for “edit.php?trashed=” at least that’s what I’m seeing in my access_logs. If you can find it you should be able to get what you need from that line. Good hunting!

Thanks SouthStationMedia! That did the trick.
