[Plugin: WP Calendar] Event not found when sharing on social sites

Ok, I’ve figured out what was going on, but still have a problem. I was using {event_subject} for the title of the single event page which was not being parsed into html for sharing sites like Facebook to read. Same goes with all the other shortcodes like {event_description}. When you look at the page source you see that instead of the HTML being parsed it is showing the {shortcode} instead. How can I get the HTML to be parsed instead of the {shortcode}?

HOW do you share? Do you use any plug-in for that? If yes, it could be a problem of the plug-in. Because, whenever you post a link on facebook the “normal” rendering takes place and all filters for shortcode parsing apply.

Yes, I’m using a plugin. Slick Social Share plugin. Also, when I share a single event it only shows the data from the static Events page that was created during set up instead of the actual info from the single events page.

there must be missing something in the posted URL. When the GET parameters are passed correctly, this will work like a charm.

I have been using WP Calendar for a little while now and love what you are doing with it!

I have noticed that many, like myself, want to post content from WP Calendar to Facebook. When posting WP Calendar events, it would be fantastic to have it imported directly into Facebook events instead of a plain Facebook post. I see at Working with Facebook events using Graph API, JS-SDK and PHP-SDK – part 1 that Hasin Hayder has a process that seems to work consistently. (I do not work for or with Hasin Hayder).

Is there an easy method to include this functionality with WP Calendar?
