Adding categories prblem

Have you tried:

– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

– re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

install antoher wordpress in any where by creating a sub domain or sub directories .

make complete back up of your main(old) blog.

then copy and replace one by one folder from your new wordpress to old wordpress. look whether it works or not.

you first try with ‘wp-includes’ folder.

I guess the problem will be solved by replacing that folder.

if it doesn’t work then go one by one but avoid these two file

wp-config.php, .htaccess

since I had not actually done anything in the blogg I did overwrite the complete wordpress folder. And not even thet helped. It seems impossible to add any categories. I could edit the ucategorized that was ther from the beginning but thats it. It is starting to frustrate me since I want the categories there before I start adding posts aswell. Is it possible to do it manually in the right file? Is that easier?

You may have a damaged database. I’d suggest scrapping the whole WordPress install – including the database – and starting again from scratch.

deleted it all and reinstalled. no diference. Panik is crepping up on me :/ Is it the swedish version that is bugged or am I hoples?

Can you try re-installing the English version first?

So I got my provider to reset it all and reinstalled it in english seems it maken no differense. Still cant add categories the simple way. I have not changed theme or added any widgets or plugins. Am I missing some step? Must I add pages first or what?

Hmm maybe some database problem some one told me. I will contact my provider again ??
