[Plugin: WP-PostViews] Ajax Call

Great plugin! But what is the reasoning behind the ajax call:

jQuery.ajax({type:’GET’,url:'”.plugins_url(‘wp-postviews/wp-postviews.php’).”‘,data:’postviews_id=”.$id.”‘,cache:false});

?

Why don’t you just update the post_meta there?
